Like I've said before, fancy doodads and gizmos don't get you down the road these trucks are bigger and heavier than their predecessors. Being a TRUCK they should have the new 5.3 V8 355 HP 383 FT/LB Torque. For those of you crying about gas mileage, so what I'm paying for it! SS version anyone???

the new one needs a v8 like the 2012 came with

To be a syclone they would have to use the new ecotec3 4.3v6. The old one had a 4.3 and had more power than the new 4.3

In summary:

The '15 is much bigger on the outside, yet only a little roomier on the inside, has only a slightly higher payload and only 700 lbs. more towing.

I'd say this is a major blunder coming from a GM that was clinically dead 5 years ago. This truck is way too close in size to the Sierra and doesn't offer near the utility.

Will this one also catch fire if it idles too long like the Sierra?

Id like to see them do a zr2 . It seems too big for the size id expect to see some v6 engines . Id like to see the sonoma/s10 redone aswell... these don't seem to be midsize trucks body wise ....just engine..

Always hated the 2012 front end.  Looks upside down somehow.  Cheesy.

There is no comparison. The gmt355 was one of the most bastardized platforms, and the rest of it was outdated.

The only thing they share is the name. And Rubbermaid lost the contract to supply interior parts.
