Advancements in trucks during the last 10 years is nothing short of awesome. We can thank competition among the truck brands and now its Ford's turn to up the ante. I have no doubt the new F150 will be a stout truck. The 2015 F150 definitely looks like he truck of the future.

My only concern is insurance rates due to the inevitable rise in repair costs. I'm sure it will go down gradually but the initial rates may be steep.

At least they will be worth more when hauling them into a scrap yard in 5 years... I guess it's not so bad after all

The 6000 grade aluminum Ford will use on the F-150 is pretty strong and can be hardened. The 2000 and 7000 grades are stronger but the cost to manufacture it would be too high.

Jordan you must be confused with an article about GM or Dodge. This is an article about the F-150. Go troll somewhere else.

Airplanes have used aluminum for decades, its plenty strong. This isnt beer can aluminum. It's a cost factor.

People dont realize that all of fords products have had aluminum hoods since 2005 and Mercedes did vehicles as well people need to learn about alloys

Did they magically make aluminum stronger, exactly, steel will remain king until they can figure out a better alloy.
