If you've been paying any attention to the sales charts lately, it's no great newsflash that trucks and SUVs are hot. But the flipside to that popularity is that they're increasingly popular with vehicle thieves as well. LoJack, the maker of the popular vehicle-tracking service, released its top 10 list of the most stolen and recovered vehicles of 2013. For the fifth year in a row, the Honda Accord topped the list, followed by the smaller Civic, and the Toyota Camry and Corolla taking third and fourth places, respectively. Taking Fifth Place was the Chevrolet Silverado. Further down the list, the Cadillac Escalade took Seventh Place, followed by the Ford F-350 in Eighth, and the Chevrolet Tahoe in 10th.

For the most-stolen and recovered 2013 models, the Accord once again leads the list, but the Ford F-250 took third place and the Toyota Tacoma and Ford F-150 tied for fifth. In terms of the states with the most theft and recovery activity, the most-populated states lead the list, with California, Texas, Florida, and New York comprising the top four. Other interesting informational tidbits from the report are that black vehicles are the most stolen and recovered, and turquoise vehicles are the least stolen and recovered.
