Among Highland's fastest straps are its cam-buckle and Sure Lok units. Most of you are familiar with cam-buckle tie- downs, which feature a spring-loaded gripper that bites into the strap to keep it secure. SureLok tie-downs are similar, but offer a locking buckle that adds a measure of protection. As a result, the SureLok units are rated slightly higher than traditional cam-buckle designs. All Highland's straps feature flexible-edge construction (which helps absorb side impacts and reduce cuts and tears), triple-layer webbing, and a Web Guard coating, which the company contends provides 20-percent-more abrasion resistance than standard webbing.
