But if you insist on using rope, at least check out Bull Accessories' line of cinches, hooks, and pulleys that can help you secure loads without tying. They take some practice to use, but (especially the hooks) can come in handy. They work best with Bull's own brand of rope--an 8mm polyester yacht braid. It's nice stuff, strong, light, and it stays soft under almost any conditions. It's due on the market early this year, so pricing has yet to be announced.
