I have a Ford F550 with the 6.7 liter diesel and it seemed to be a good engine until At 11000 miles a valve cracked and blew the engine. They replaced the engine and at 19000 mile it turned a rod bearing and blew that engine. For the 8 mths I've had the truck 2 1/2 mths it's been in the service dpt. I tried to get ford to buy it back but they said they don't buy anything back with a gross weight over 10,000lbs. I thought this engine was supposed to be great but looks like it's no better than the old 6.0 liter I had so much trouble with. I have had 25 ford trucks (currently have 3 that stay in the shop ) and this 2011 will be my last.
