Spied: 2014 Chevrolet Colorado
When work began on the new, 2012 Global Chevy Colorado, it was speculated that this product would not reach U.S. dealers. We now know that isn't true, as GM will start production in Missouri for American buyers in about two and a half years.
Details are still fairly slim on the North American version, but we know the new Colorado will be riding on the same GMI-700 chassis the global truck utilizes. While the export Colorado will start production at the end of 2011 in Thailand, the U.S. version will be built at the Wentzville, Missouri, plant starting sometime in late 2013 or early 2014. With Wentzville currently running just one shift to build GM's full-size vans, there will be plenty of untapped capacity for the new pickup. GMC buyers won't be left out, as we hear the Canyon will also carry on.
Sorry Folks, we can't show you the full images at the moment but you can see it in our upcoming Spetember/October 2011 issue, set to hit news stands on August 2, 2011.
