According to Automotive News, Jeep has given the thumbs-up to the Compass, a crossover that should resemble the concept shown in 2001. The five-seat vehicle, likely to start below $20,000, will compete with the CR-V, Escape, RAV4, and upcoming Freelander, and should go into production in 2007.
