While this early-stage development vehicle doesn't have all the AMG bits on it yet, the large cross-drilled rotors, big calipers, and AMG wheels give the SUV's identity away. We're also pretty sure this ML is riding lower than in the regular ML prototypes we've seen and that the front end is sporting larger air intakes. Our spy shooter also reported that this vehicle pulled out of a known AMG facility, and with quite a throaty V-8 rumble.

While heavy camouflage hides a lot of the details, we can still see some of the changes. The doors have new sculpting, with two bold character lines visible. We can also see new door mirrors. A large angular grille with at least three chrome crossbars can be seen under the camo panels as well. We're pretty sure LED daytime running lights are lurking somewhere under the camo. Under the hood, we expect AMG's new 5.5-liter, twin turbo V-8 putting out at least 550 horsepower. It will likely be mated to Mercedes' MCT sport-shift seven-speed transmission.

We can't show you the full photos online, but you can pick up the July/August Issue of Truck Trend when it hits stands on June 1st!
