The 2013 Range Rover spied in the Alps had less camouflage on the front, revealing more of the grille and air intakes. As in the past, the camouflage is bizarre and extensive on these prototypes. There are fake body panels covering the hood, and at the rear, it's easy to see where the camouflage panels are hiding the true slope of the rear windshield. Previous reports have indicated that this new Range Rover will ride on an aluminum chassis being developed with the assistance of Jaguar. Due to this major change, it's said the 2013 model could be more than 500 pounds lighter than the current model. While it's too early to have powertrain details just yet, a hybrid and plug-in variant, based on the Range E Concept, are expected to be offered along with traditional offerings.
