6.4L Ford F-450 Power Stroke Titan Fuel Tank Install
You Can Tank It: Do It Yourself And Get Back On The Road
Everyone has his or her own reason for wanting a bigger fuel tank. Some people like to fill up once every 1,000 miles when they find cheap fuel, some people have a transport company, and others just want to drive on and on. Titan Fuel Tanks can be essential for those types of people and their work. The Ford F-450 we drive gets about 10 to 11 mpg when it’s hauling a fifth-wheel, so it’s only going to get about 300 miles before that worrisome Low Fuel light blinks on.
Titan Fuel Tanks is one the largest aftermarket OEM fuel tank companies, not only for the consumer market but also for the military. The company makes more room for more fuel -- plus, you never have to worry about the tanks rusting from the inside out. We opted to get the 67-gallon replacement tank for our Ford F-450 .
This tank will not give you better gas mileage, but it will increase the range you have to fill up your truck between gas stations on long trips. So far, after driving the F-450 around we have doubled the fuel range on the truck, which makes sense, since we went from a 33-gallon tank to Titan’s 67-gallon version. Our 6.4L F-450 Power Stroke was already in the shop on the rack at True Bliss Customs for a SEMA build when the Titan fuel tank was added.
