Dressing up your common-rail Cummins has never been so easy. Dr. Performance now offers these full, one-piece Cummins dress up kit via valve covers for '03 to '10 5.9L and 6.7L engines. Its valve covers are constructed from aluminum and are a direct replacement for the factory unit. According to Dr. Performance, they can be had in powdercoated red, blue, black, or raw, and all valve covers come with a billet oil cap (as shown). Custom engraving is also available. Are you pushing serious power levels with your 6.0L Power Stroke? River City Diesel's billet connecting rods might be next on your list of needs. Its rods feature an H-beam-style design to save reciprocating mass and use military-spec, aircraft-quality, chromoly steel, which is said to be similar to 300M. In addition, these rods are triple-tempered, surface-peened, cryogenically treated, and balanced plus or minus 1 gram using ARP fasteners. All units are Magnaflux-inspected and Rockwell hardness-tested.
River City Diesel
The new Edge Juice with Attitude CS (color screen) and CTS (color touch screen) are now available for '981/2 to '10 Cummins-powered Dodges and '01 to '10 Duramax-equipped GMs. Along with six on-the-fly adjustable power settings, the module offers powertrain protection features such as audible engine alerts, cold-engine protection, transmission slip protection, EGT back-down protection, and even a built-in turbo timer. The Attitude CTS also comes with a video-in port, which allows you to hook up any off-the-shelf backup camera (including Edge's) or DVD player.
Pusher Intakes offers these trick intake manifolds for '981/2 to '07 Cummins mills and does so at affordable prices. Its intake elbows are TIG-welded, feature 3-inch mandrel-bent tubing, a water-jetted 1/2-inch flange, and a 1/4-inch oil dipstick mount. In addition, all units come with 1/8-inch NPT ports on the backside for monitoring boost or using injectables. Pusher Intakes' polished T6 aluminum elbow (shown here) goes for $199, its steel unit runs $129, and custom powdercoat colors are available for an additional $25.
One good way to keep your '08 to '10 Ford's hard-working 5R110 TorqShift automatic transmission cool is by increasing its fluid capacity. PML's newest transmission pans offer 4 additional quarts of fluid capacity and feature raised outside fins to help dissipate heat. Its pans have a 3/16-inch-thick outer case, a 3/8-inch-thick gasket flange for a secure seal, and a magnetic drain plug for easy maintenance. They also feature internal baffles, which keep ATF near the filter inlet and eliminate the need for a filter extension.
Automotive Racing Products' (ARP) Ultra-Torque fastener assembly lubricant is the new standard for fastener installation on performance diesel engines. According to ARP, Ultra-Torque gets you within 5 percent of your target pre-load on the first pull and stays consistent with each subsequent torque cycle. In addition, Ultra-Torque is 100 percent metal-free and allows for a higher physical property melting point, better corrosion prevention, and improved wear resistance. It also eliminates galling and seizing on fastener threads.
