Parts That Can Make A Difference
Are you tired of your tools and equipment rolling around your truck bed unprotected? You could get a tonneau cover, but they reduce bed capacity and don’t help organize cargo. Decked has come up with a better solution: an in-bed storage system with two full-length, waterproof, roll-out drawers. Smaller items up to 200 pounds can be secured and organized in each drawer, while up to 2,000 pounds of additional cargo can be loaded on top. The system is weatherproof, easy to install with no drilling, and available for almost all fullsize trucks made since the late ’90s.
The new AFE Power ductile-iron exhaust manifold for ’03 to ’07 5.9L Ram diesel trucks outflows the factory design by 23 percent. That means more horsepower, more torque, better throttle response, and quicker turbo spooling. Its ¼-inch-thick cast-iron construction also dramatically increases strength, preventing the warping and cracking that plagues factory manifolds. Two EGT sensor ports are included for easy gauge installation and monitoring, and all hardware is included for a hassle-free install.
Beware of The Predator
One of Pro Comp’s newest wheel designs is the five-spoke Predator. It features an aggressive matte black finish, strong lines, and machined bolt accents along the lip. The Predator is available in 17- and 18-inch diameters and five-, six-, and eight-lug fitments. This new design is available now anywhere Pro Comp wheels are sold, including 4Wheel Parts stores.
Sinister Diesel recently released this new CAT filter adapter for ’01 to ’10 Duramax trucks, which allows the installation of a 2-micron CAT fuel filter on the existing filter head. This provides vastly improved fuel filtration, meaning vital components like the CP3 injection pump and injectors are fed reliably with clean fuel. It easily installs with no removal of or modification to your factory filter head, and it will keep your engine running clean and strong for many years.
If you’ve got a lifted truck with big wheels and tires, you’ve probably experienced the dreaded steering shimmy, bumpsteer, and vibration that goes along with it. Not to worry, however, since these new brackets from Rancho will let you run dual RS7000MT or RS5000 steering stabilizers. It’s an inexpensive and simple solution to keep your truck’s steering stable and smooth, and it’ll stay that way for many years thanks to a limited lifetime warranty.
Reid Racing’s new high steer knuckle for ’05 and up Ford Super Duty trucks is designed as a factory replacement that provides more aftermarket steering linkage options. Its high steer design includes a flat-top pad for a bolt-on steering arm, dual steering stops, and increased overall strength. It’s also built for a bolt-on install with no machining and retains your factory ABS, traction control, vacuum hubs, and stability control system. Reid Racing will even supply tapered tie-rod end bolts so you can reuse your OEM tie rods.
Better Than Ever
The Fox 2.0 Factory Series reservoir shock design has been winning races and taking names for decades, but the engineers at Fox still weren’t satisfied. So, the shock design has been completely revamped for 2014, with a variety of new features. New 6061-T6 aluminum external reservoirs dissipate heat faster than the previous design and provide increased oil and nitrogen capacity. The shocks also have more secure laser-etched aluminum reservoir mounting clamps, and protective O-ring sealed covers for the Fox air valves.

Expect to see the production-ready version hitting stores in early 2015.
Unveiled at SEMA to rave reviews, SnugTop’s newest truck cap design incorporates commercial-grade durability and functionality with OEM-style fit and finish. Dubbed the Outback, this topper features an industry-first 60/40-split rear door setup that makes loading and unloading easier than ever. Also, thanks to its Advanced Structural Composite construction, it can carry an additional 500 pounds of gear on its roof. It even includes an LED brake light with provisions for a backup camera.
The new F4 Flashpaq tuner from Superchips has been painstakingly reengineered for more vehicle coverage, power, and emissions compliance in a handheld package. It now features an industry-exclusive two-year Limited Powertrain Warranty, so you can rest easy knowing the tunes will keep your truck reliable. It also includes more memory to store additional make/model/year combinations, an improved case design, and CARB emissions compliance for those of us in California. Best of all, even with these improvements, the price will stay the same as previous models.
