Old Truck, New Tech
With adjustable color accents, the Pioneer DEH-X6800BT is a good fit for any interior style. But it’s more than a pretty face. This head unit includes Siri Eyes Free functionality, Bluetooth audio and mobile device integration for Apple and Android, and Pandora station creation through your data plan. It’s one of six new Pioneer units that offer a variety of connectivity solutions, making it a good match for truck enthusiasts who still want some modern amenities in their trucks.

No, the KC HiLiTES LZR light cube isn’t powered by lasers—at least not yet. But it is still state of the art, updated over last year’s LZR with 37.5 percent more candlepower and a brighter, wider light spread. With an LED life of more than 50,000 hours and an operating temperature that exceeds almost anything earthbound, the LZR is more than capable of handling show or trail duty. Best of all, KC held the line on pricing.

Efficient Exhalation
Think of your truck’s air the same way you think of your own breathing: It takes more effort to empty your lungs if you’re blowing a kazoo than if you’re breathing unobstructed. For that reason, it’s a good idea to consider something like the MBRP XP Series exhaust for the ’15 Ford Super Duty with the Power Stroke diesel. Less restrictive exhaust lowers EGT and provides increased engine output, giving the already impressive 6.7L “Scorpion” even better performance for towing or racing, and the single-side-exit exhaust looks great, too.

Now available for the ’15 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups, ICI’s Magnum bumper gives heavy-duty trucks some extra cool factor thanks to its prerunner styling, available lightbar and driving lamp mounts, and tough, cold-rolled-steel construction. A matte black powdercoat resists corrosion, and the shallow, beveled bumpers allow for maximum articulation and ground clearance. Shackle mounts only add to their functionality. With the new applications, the Magnum can now be had for almost every domestic diesel pickup.

Studded and Stealthy
Satin-black stainless steel mesh, a studded grille shell, and a 23-inch integrated lightbar? The Royalty Core RCRX LED Race Line Grille has all that and more. The deep black paint is much darker than expected, and it’s going to last, since Royalty Core tests its products using salt and chemical sprays to examine for corrosion. Additionally, the company will add an optional badge (your truck’s manufacturer logo, military emblems, superhero symbols, and tons more) to the grille for a personalized styling statement.

Get Your Kicks
Why would you invest the time and elbow grease into your shiny custom truck, only to hitch a bland toy hauler on the back? Avoid that faux pas with the Black Rock Series 914S Route 66, one of the most unique wheel designs on the market. The 16-inch wheel takes a few cues from the vintage Fuchs wheel found on vintage German sportsters, but its robust construction, five-hole styling, and 3,960-pound load rating make it a great match for whatever you’re towing behind your heavily modified pickup.

Out Cold
Cold air is denser than warm air, so it’s capable of carrying more power. If an engine gets more cold air, it’s going to just naturally make a bit more than it might otherwise. Cooler intake air is the goal of AFE Power’s Momentum HD cold-air intake for the ’11-to-present Ford F-Series Super Duty with the Power Stroke V-8. According to the company, it outflows the stock intake by 30 percent, resulting in maximum gains of 19 horses and 60 lb-ft of torque. A built-in window enables easy inspection of the reusable filter as well.

There’s no shortage of decent lift kits out there, but BDS Suspension stands out from the crowd in lots of ways (sometimes literally). Available from the suspension experts at Jack-It, the BDS Suspension 6.5-inch lift for the ’11-to-’16 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD creates more than enough ground clearance for even the biggest off-road hurdles, and it gives the truck a great, jacked stance that’ll mean you’ll never lose it in a parking lot. It’s a big kit, too, with all the hardware needed for a complete installation.

Stopping Power
There’s no reason to drop coin on the parts that make a truck go without also investing something into the parts that make a truck stop. EGR Brakes now offers rear disc brake conversions for the ’88-to-’02 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500. The kits include vented brake rotors, single-piston calipers, high-friction brake pads, and stainless-steel brake lines, including all the necessary hardware for a complete conversion. Making the job easier, most of the kits can be installed right on the truck’s existing wheel studs.
