Product Spotlight: 2011 Itasca Sunova Motorhomes
To some consumers, Winnebago embodies the absolute best in motorhomes. Those customers will be thrilled to learn that subsidiary Itasca has released information on its latest Sunova line for 2011.
The big news is the addition of the 36V floorplan. If you're unfamiliar with motorhomes, the numbers normally coincide with a motorhome's length, and the 36V is now the fourth-longest Sunova of five models. The Sunova 36V measures 449 inches from head to tail.
Length affects the floorplan and overall design. The Sunova 36V is a double-slide design with 152.9 cubic feet of exterior storage, and comes complete with all the home-like amenities that make traveling on the road easy. Installed features include a 40-inch LCD TV, an extendible sofa, queen-size bed (king size optional), shower with private bath, and dual wardrobes. Recreational vehicles have come a long way and the base MSRP for the 36V is $124,730.
Supplying the grunt for this Class A gasser is a Ford 6.8-liter V-10 usually found in F-Series Super Duty trucks. With 362 horsepower and a five-speed automatic transmission, there should be enough power to get and keep the Ford F53 chassis up to speed. And of course, the wheelbase will change depending on the motorhome's length.
Other Sunova models include the 31E (391 inches), 33C (411 inches), 35J (426 inches), and 37L (459 inches). For complete specifications and other RV information, be sure to visit the official Itasca Web site; www.goitasca.com
