Magellan's eXplorist Pro 10 GPS receiver is waterproof, ruggedized, and comes with Bluetooth. It runs an open platform on Windows Mobile 6.5. This marks Magellan's re-entry into the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) market. GIS is a digital way to collect and analyze maps and analysis, and is especially handy for land surveyors, landscape architecture, emergency crews, and navigation in general. The eXplorist Pro 10 has a 3-inch color touch screen, 533MHz processor and 128MB RAM, 4GB of onboard storage and is expandable with up to 32GB via a MicroSDHC card slot. There's also a built-in 3.2-megapixel camera to capture geotagged photos, a 3D compass, and a pressure altimeter and barometer. MSRP is $700.
