Hanging in the Shade

Covercraft is teaming up with Carhartt on the UVS Custom Sunscreen. By reducing the amount of harmful UV rays that enter the interior through the windshield, the Carhartt Brown sunscreen helps keep your truck’s interior cooler while parked and protects your dash and upholstery from sun damage. The Carhartt UVS Custom Sunscreen includes triple-laminate construction with a reflective outer finish and soft felt on the inside. Available for 1,500 different car and truck applications, it is made at Covercraft’s facility in Oklahoma.

Back in Black

Thanks to a plug-and-play design, Anzo USA’s “Switchback” headlight units are a quick and easy way to customize the appearance of the ’15-to-’17 Chevrolet Silverado HD. The lamps are a direct replacement for the truck’s stock headlights, and they feature a very modern LED daytime running lamp design. In addition to the sinister all-black version pictured here, the Switchback is also available with black headlamp bezels and a chrome surround or an all-chrome design for the bezels and surround. We’ve logged some miles with similar headlamps, and they work great!

Van Plan

Whether your Ford Transit is a work van destined for remote construction sites or a mobile basecamp for mountain adventures, more ground clearance is always a good thing. Van Compass can help, thanks to its the 2.5-inch Terrain suspension kit. Featuring front strut spacers; rear lift blocks; longer U-bolts, subframe, and bumper support brackets; and steering extensions; the kit adds about 2.5 inches of elevation to any single-rear-wheel Transit van or wagon. The system also retains factory-stock ride quality, payload capacity, and handling, and each component is powdercoated for durability and corrosion resistance.

Don’t Be a Fool

The electronic pressure control (EPC) solenoid on your ’11-to-’17 Chevrolet or GMC’s Allison transmission usually applies about 80 psi of line pressure to your gearbox. According to Alligator Performance, that’s just not enough, so the company created an EPC Fooler through its Deviant Race Parts line. It helps transmissions run at a static pressure of 230 psi, improving shift quality, holding power, and longevity. The company says the EPC Fooler improves both durability for stock pickups and performance for modded trucks.

This kit is perfect for the outdoorsman, landscaper, firefighter, or anyone else who wants to free up cargo space for these longer, more unwieldy tools. High-quality steel construction and powdercoating help ensure durability, and the bracket comes with a three-year warranty.

Lighter, Stronger, Sleeker

Those folks lucky enough to pilot the Ford F-450/F-550 and Ram 4500/5500 already know their trucks have big-time capability and power. Alcoa can help them make a good thing even better with its original forged-aluminum wheel. The 19.5x6 wheel is now 21 percent lighter, at just 26 pounds, but it retains a 4,000-pound load rating and is custom-designed for each wheel position, including inner rear dualie. Alcoa says it is now the first to offer a forged-aluminum inner dual wheel, offering more strength and corrosion resistance than steel.
