Day One Done: The Speedway Motors Week to Wicked 1952 Chevy’s Truckin’ Along

And just like that, day one on the Speedway Motors Week to Wicked 1952 Chevy build is in the booksor the canor however you wanna say done! We literally drove our 235-powered three-window into the Tech Center this morning, and while many of you were off in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we were hustling, and by day's end, got all the sheetmetal peeled off the stock chassis and spared no time assembling its new one.

First thing tomorrow morning the collaborative team—which consists of our Tech Center regulars, Jason and Christian, along with Damon (whom some of you may recognize as a familiar magazine editor name/face!), Tom, and Joe from Speedway Motors—will concentrate on fitting and mounting all the OE sheetmetal, from the front clip to the bed, running boards, and fenders. From there, work will continue on completing the chassis and drivetrain components, quickly working our way towards that Friday evening "back lot burnout" goal! Stay tuned, we're only one day down with four to go! And don't forget to log onto Classic Truck's Facebook for regularly programmed live video feeds.
