Customers seeking a Low Cab Forward truck that delivers plenty of power, convenience, safety and durability have traditionally turned to the Chevrolet W-Series. Its popularity is attributable to the fact that the W-Series was developed with direct input from those who know this vehicle best: customers. In fact, one could say that the W-Series was designed by customers for customers. Fresh from a major redesign in 2008 - with changes that included more cab room, enhanced safety features and more power - the 2009 W-Series delivers Clean Idle certification for W4500, W5500 and W5500 HD models, along with greater comfort and convenience, enhanced safety and bolder styling up front.

All 2009 W4500, W5500 and W5500 HD models are 50-state emission-certified, and may idle for more than five minutes without having to shut down. Vehicles that do not meet this certification are required to shut down after idling for five minutes in the following states: California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Vermont and Oregon. By meeting the 50-state emission certification, drivers of W4500, W5500 and W5500 HD models can continue to run heat and ventilation equipment in their vehicles while idling at jobsites.
