The restyled Toyota RAV4 is completely new for 2009. Interior upgrades and a comprehensive Sport Appearance Package are featured on all-new RAV4 SUVs. The base RAV4 will use an updated 2.5L four-cylinder engine providing more power and better fuel economy than the previous-generation 2.4L four-cylinder. A new Smart Entry system comes standard on the Limited trims, and rear backup monitors are available on the Sport and Limited grades. Integrated satellite radio is offered, and a low-cost navigation system is available for the Sport and Limited trims. Standard seat fabric comes with all models, with the Sport trim offering an exclusive charcoal-leather option.
New front and rear styling highlight the redesigned RAV4 with its updated front grille and bumper, improved foglight trim, and redesigned taillights. New 17-in. alloy wheels come with the Base and Limited trims, and the Limited gets new turn-signal side mirrors and chrome accents on the grille and overfenders. The Sport trim gets a unique rear spoiler.
The Sport Appearance Package includes a redesigned rear-step bumper with black protector molding and a clear rear-bumper protector. The package for the 4WD V-6 RAV4 includes an exclusive redesigned rear door with chrome accents and no spare tire for a distinct look. Run-flat tires, color-keyed power-heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, stainless-steel exhaust tip, unique badging, and an exclusively available color (Elusive Blue Metallic) are included with the package. The interior gets a chrome-accented shift knob with leather inserts, chrome interior door handles, parking brake and vent trim, and unique steel door sills.
