Following its redesign and restyling for 2008, the 2009 Nissan Armada continues to add features onto the full-size SUV. Carried over from 2008 are a new front and rear fascia, head- and foglight designs, a revised one-piece roof rack design, and new exterior color availabilities.
New for the 2009 model year are the additions of the Armada LE Preferred Package and LE Tow Package as standard equipment on the LE base model. Features from these two packages include heated front seats, power quarter glass flip-out, power folding outside mirrors with puddle lamps and turn signals, memory setting for driver's seat/mirrors/pedals, Bluetooth, receiver hitch with 7-pin wiring harness, a larger heavy-duty battery, and lower 3.357:1 gear ratio.
New 20-in. Chrome Clad wheels are available on the LE trim when equipped with the Technology Package. A moonroof is available with the SE trim's Driver's Package, while second-row Captain Chairs are available on all LE packages.
Powering the Armada SUV is a 5.6L V-8 engine with 317 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque and Flexible Fuel Vehicle technology, which allows the use of alternative fuels such as E85.
