What's New for 2010

For 2010, the Cadillac Escalade EXT's 6.2-liter L94 V-8 will be equipped with Active Fuel Management technology, helping the powerplant better administer its 403 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque. Other new features include a locking steering column, a standard USB port in the center console, a revised parking brake release, a now-standard Platinum-model interior clock, and a battery saver mode that shuts the power off when the battery gets low due to extended accessory use. In terms of safety, the Escalade gets side thorax airbags and a revised inner door design for improved side-impact protection.

On the exterior, four new colors replace Blue Chip and Quick Silver on 2010 order sheets. Two promotional colors, Black Ice and Celestial Blue, will be available fall 2009 and spring 2010, respectively. Black Ice can be ordered on the ESV and Platinum models, while Celestial Blue is available for all save for the Platinum Edition. Galaxy Gray is also unavailable on the Platinum Edition, while Silver Lining is the latest color to join the Escalade palette.
