What's New for 2010
The 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe will incorporate a handful of updates for the new decade. On the exterior, new colors include Sheer Silver Metallic and Taupe Gray Metallic replacing Deep Ruby Metallic, Graystone Metallic, and Silver Birch Metallic. Red Jewel Tintcoat is now available on the LS and LT trims, and on Z71 off-road package-equipped models. An Exterior Plus Package with front fog lights and luggage rack cross bars is available.
Mechanically, both available 5.3-liter Vortec V-8 powerplants come with E85 compatibility and cam phasing. A single-speed transfer case is standard on all four-wheel drive models, while a two-speed transfer case is optional. Both V-8 engines are rated at 320 horsepower and 335 pound-feet of torque on gas, and 326 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque on E85.
On the inside, an Interior Plus Package includes Bluetooth, tri-zone climate control, front bucket seats with premium cloth, rear audio system controls, and Universal Home Remote, while a USB port comes standard in the center console.
As a part of the Tahoe's numerous available packages, the 1LT package now comes with tri-zone climate control, a Bose nine-speaker sound system, power-adjustable pedals, remote vehicle start, ultrasonic rear parking assist, and a heavy-duty locking rear differential. The Z71 off-road suspension is also available with the 1LT package.
