What's New for 2010
For 2010, the XC90's former topline model, the V8 R-Design, will no longer be available. Three trims remain for Volvo's largest SUV: the 3.2, the 3.2 R-Design, and the V8.The 3.2 will receive a host of standard perks, including rear park assist, third-row seating with climate control, power glass moonroof, leather seating surfaces, and power passenger seat. A second-row integrated center booster seat for the little one also comes standard. A Multimedia Package replaces the formerly available Technology Package, which includes a navigation system with remote control, Real Time Traffic, a Dynaudio premium sound system, and Sirius satellite radio. A Climate Package adds a humidity sensor and Interior Air Quality System. In terms of individual add-ons, the Blind Spot Information System and dual xenon Active Bending Lights are now both stand-alone options.
The 3.2 R-Design will also add standard rear park assist, along with an integrated compass in the rearview mirror. A new Dynamic Package includes 20-inch Cratus aluminum wheels and dual Xenon Active Bending Lights, while the aforementioned Multimedia Package, Climate Package, and BLIS are also available for the R-Design.Now standing in as the topline trim, the V8 incorporates standard Sapeli wood inlays, gearshift knob, and steering wheel. Heated front seats, headlight washers, IAQS, and Rainsensor windshield wipers enhance the luxurious feel of the XC90. A new Executive Package adds 19-inch Galetia aluminum wheels, an Executive tailpipe, and a leather-clad interior featuring Executive soft leather seating surfaces, leather door panels, and center console cover. The front and rear seats are heated, while the front seats take it further with ventilation and massage features. Rounding out the package are Executive floor and cargo mats and Executive Classic wood inlays and steering wheel. The BLIS remains a stand-alone option.
