The annual Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show in Las Vegas attracts some of the most impressive vehicles ever made. Diesel pickups are usually well represented at this show and we picked up some advance photos of two trucks that made the trek from Idaho. Premier Performance Products in Rexburg built both of these trucks to take to the show of shows.
Green Flight
Everyone is all abuzz about biodiesel and how it can be a greener fuel. Logistics Plus sent us information on what it called the first transcontinental green flight to use biodiesel fuel exclusively. Green Flight International flew an L29 aircraft at normal operating altitudes and airpeeds form Nevada to Florida, making various stops along the way. "These demonstration flights prove that we have the capability of supplementing our energy demands with safe and environmentally friendly petroleum substitutes," said Doug Rodante, Pilot of Green Flight International.

"Through this exciting partnership with Lake Erie Biofuels (who provided the biodiesel fuel for the flight) and Green Flight International, Logistics Plus has been able to contribute to a great cause," said Logistics Plus CEO Jim Berlin. "We congratulate Green Flight International on their accomplishment."
Logistics Plus is a global transportation solutions provider with 14 offices worldwide, with its global headquarters located in historic Union Station in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania.
It's A Puzzle
Tom Johnson built this clever puzzle truck out of an '08 Ford F-250. The truck has a host of parts on it, including: a Bulletproof lift, Fox coilover reservoir shocks, a T-Bilt front winch-mount bumper, a Warn winch, Toyo 40-inch tires, XD 20-inch wheels, an Airaid intake, a Superchips Flashpaq, an MBRP dual-stack exhaust, and more.

Keystone Diesel Drag Truck
Michael Charlton first brought the Keystone Diesel drag truck to our attention when we were putting together a feature on his Dodge. Michael works at Keystone Diesel and is rightfully proud of the '97 Dodge that runs the quarter-mile in 14.2 seconds at 110 mph.
Coming Soon In 8-Lug Diesel Truck
On sale February 17, 2009, the March issue of 8-Lug will have a feature on storm-chasing diesels. This exclusive story by the venerable editor Larry Saavedra has an interview with the star of Discovery Channel's show Storm Chasers, as well as information on some of the craziest-looking diesels we've seen. Also, watch for the March '09 issue, when X-Game gold medalist snowmobiler Chris Burandt shows off his new diesel support rig.
