Officially Official: 2015 Chevrolet Colorado To Debut at Los Angeles Auto Show
Chevrolet's Midsize Player Poised for a Comeback
We kept being told the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado would be "coming soon," but we didn't know quite how soon. Chevrolet has today confirmed that the 2015 Colorado will be officially unveiled at next week's 2013 Los Angeles auto show. Aside from the announcement, the release was completely without any technical details or specifications. But we've already done plenty of armchair quarterbacking and have a pretty good idea of what's coming. You can read our analysis and forecast feature here.
Also missing from the release was any mention of the Colorado's platform-mate, the GMC Canyon. The Canyon may make a later debut, possibly at the Detroit auto show in January. The only hint we get at what might be coming is GM's statement: "The Colorado is engineered to be the most capable, most versatile and technologically advanced midsized truck on the market." Considering the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier are both nearing a decade without major changes, that's not saying much. Still, we're looking forward to the arrival of GM's new midsizers, even as Ford and Chrysler have abandoned the segment in the U.S. market. Check back next week for full details on the 2015 Colorado!
