Feb 28, 2014
The 2015 Subaru Forester is getting a minor $225 price bump as it enters the new model year. Our SUV of the Year last year, the 2015 Forester 2.5i now comes standard with a backup camera and starts at $23,045, while the 2015 Forester 2.0XT Touring tops out at $33,945. All prices include Subaru's $850 destination charge.
In addition to the standard backup camera, the base 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i also gets a color multi-function display on top of the center stack, as opposed to the old dot-matrix-like display. The Forester 2.5i is powered by a 2.5-liter F-4 making 170 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. A CVT remains a $1000 option.
The next model up the trim ladder, the 2015 Forester 2.5i Premium also gets minor content changes, with a sunroof now standard. The Forester 2.5i Premium starts at $25,445. Aside from its $28,945 sticker price, the 2015 Forester 2.5i Limited is unchanged for the new model year. Above it, the Subaru Forester 2.5i Touring now starts at $30,945, and gets standard 18-inch wheels, hands-free keyless entry and push-button start, HID headlights, and chrome exterior trim. Navigation is an available extra.
High-zoot 2015 Forester 2.0XT models now get the All Weather Package (and its heated front seats, mirrors, and wipers) standard. The Forester 2.0XT Premium starts at $29,345, while the top-trim Forester 2.0XT Touring starts at $33,945. All Forester 2.0XTs are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged F-4 making 250 hp and 258 lb-ft, paired with a CVT.
For 2015, Subaru has also reduced the price of its EyeSight active safety system. EyeSight is now $500 cheaper than before, costing $1845 for it and navigation.
