Diesel-Equipped Audi Supercar
Audi has pulled the wraps off a supercar concept: the nanuk quattro (Audi insists it be written in lowercase). It has a 5.0L V-10 TDI worth 544 horses and 737 lb-ft of torque. The two-seater also runs a seven-speed S tronic transmission and weighs about 4,200 pounds. It’s expected to average around 30 mpg.

Yokohama’s New Mobile Website
Although the address is yokohamatire.com, it’s different from the regular website—this version loads automatically on smartphones, and because you’re on a small screen and have touch usage, the site is designed for that. Once there, you’ll be able to search by tires based on your driving style, find a local dealer, read news, and connect to various social media.

Eat This, Not That— While Driving
Insure.com surveyed drivers to find out the best foods to nosh while driving. A candy bar ranked highest, due to its safety index (one hand on the steering wheel while eating), with French fries landing in Second Place. Potato chips and chicken nuggets fell in Third and Fourth, while a doughnut ranked Fifth. Worst? Of the 15 foods, a taco took the last spot, with pizza and burrito nipping at its ankles. “Other” also made the list. Insert own food, we guess.

Road Trip for Three Diesel Hybrid Range Rovers
Three Range Rover prototypes just completed a 10,472-mile journey from Solihull (where Land Rover is based) to Mumbai. The diesel hybrids traveled for 53 days, through 13 countries and two continents on what’s been called the Silk Trail 2013 expedition. They were also the first foreign-registered vehicles to drive on China’s Xinjiang-Tibet highway. Production versions should go on sale in early 2014. According to Peter Richings, Jaguar Land Rover Hybrids and Electrification Director, “The world’s first diesel-hybrid expedition along the Silk Trail pioneered an ambitious route across Europe and Asia that would have been impassable to most other types of vehicle.”
