1956 Ford F-100 Snake Bit- MAXimum Exposure
Last year’s SEMA was the first one that I have missed since working at Truckin magazine. The birth of my son kept me at home with my wife on “Baby Watch 2013.” That was by far the most important moment of my life, but I still missed going to the show. From the coverage I saw and conversations with the people who attended, this was by far the biggest show with the best vehicles to ever fill the convention center halls. But of all the vehicles at the show, my all-time favorite was a 1956 Ford F-100 in Ford’s booth called “Snakebit.”
Unveiled by KISS bassist Gene Simmons and wife Shannon Tweed, the Shelby Mustang-inspired Blue Oval featured a supercharged 5.4L V-8, 5-inch longer wheelbase, lowered stance, and custom bodywork. Inside, gray leather and billet accents added to the custom flair that this beauty flourishes in. I think another reason this old girl draws me in is the similarity to our very own EcoBoost F-150. If you missed the show coverage, let me know what your favorite truck was by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
