A Big Change For 8-Lug - Auto Authority Editorial
Welcome to the latest edition of 8-Lug HD Truck magazine. The only constant thing in publishing is change. I’m happy to announce this month represents a big change for 8-Lug. First off, we as an editorial team owe a big thanks to Bob Carpenter for his eight years of faithful service as editor. His commitment to the reader is a big reason why 8-Lug is still a healthy publication in 2014. His tenure has come to a close, and I’m honored to take the reins.
Don’t worry, these reins are in good hands. I’m a lifelong custom truck enthusiast who has spent the last 11 years working at sister truck mag Truckin. During that time, I’ve wrenched on everything from minis to muscle trucks to airbagged customs and monster lifted diesels. Trucks are all I know, and trucks are what I love. As with most things, a little change is good for all involved, and we have some changes coming to 8-Lug -- but we think they’re all for the better.
"Our goal is to stir emotion within you to go out and make your truck better, faster, more capable, and more unique."
The new game plan is no different than what you’ve come to expect from your favorite heavy-duty truck magazine. However, we hope you will enjoy the magazine even more. Moving forward, you’ll see new writer’s bylines and see new photographers filling the pages with photography we assure you will inspire your own builds. We also promise to provide you with relevant tech installs so you can attain the know-how to customize your own pride and joy. 8-Lug’s feature content will also be much improved, with more diversity and a good balance of budget builds and nice daily drivers, with the occasional show truck for all of us to ooh and aah over. And heavy-duty truck events, including show ’n’ shines, sled pulls, diesel drags, and truck get-togethers, will continue to be proudly showcased within these pages. Our goal is to stir emotion within you to go out and make your truck better, faster, more capable, and more unique. If it’s important to you, it’s important to us. We thank you for reading 8-Lug, and we want to hear from you. Tell us what we’re doing wrong, what you like, and what you’d like to see more of.
