Navigator 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 Rated at 380 hp, 460 lb-ft of Torque
Pricing for the redesigned 2015 Lincoln Navigator has been revealed. The original luxury full-size SUV starts at $62,475, including destination, for the base two-wheel-drive model. That price represents a $5315 price increase over the base 2014 Navigator. In comparison, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade starts at $72,690 or $3725 more than the outgoing model.
In addition to the redesigned exterior and refreshed interior, the dated 5.4-liter Triton V-8 has been replaced by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 rated 380 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque -- an increase of 70 hp and 95 lb-ft. A new six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission backs the new power plant. The automaker claims the 2015 Lincoln Navigator has a “projected best-in-class towing of 9000 pounds” when properly equipped.
The 2015 Lincoln Navigator gains a new front end with a “split-wing” grille and LED taillights. Inside, the updated Navigator features higher-quality leather than before, push-button start, LED instrument cluster with tachometer, SYNC with MyLincoln Touch, and a Blind Spot Monitoring System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert.
Starting at $69,975, the two-wheel-drive Navigator Premium Reserve Package steps up to 22-inch polished alloy wheels, Ziricote wood trim, and even higher-quality leather on all three rows. The dash, armrests, and center console also feature hand-wrapped leather and stitching. The 2015 Navigator Premium Reserve Package with four-wheel-drive starts at $72,900. Pricing for the four-wheel-drive Navigator without the Premium Reserve Package suggests that variant may not be offered.
Lincoln Drive Control is standard on four-wheel-drive models and when equipped with the available 22-inch wheels. The system features continuously controlled damping suspension and electric power steering. Four-wheel-drive models get hill start assist and Hill Descent Control standard.
Pricing for the two-wheel-drive 2015 Lincoln Navigator L starts at $64,640, while the four-wheel-drive Navigator L starts at $68,215. Pricing hasn’t been revealed for Navigator L models with the Premium Reserve Package. A 4.10 rear axle gear and open differential is standard on Navigator L and optional on standard-wheelbase models. The 2015 Lincoln Navigator rides on a 131-inch wheelbase (up from 119 inches) and is 222.3 inches long overall (up from 208.4 inches).
