Larte Design Makes U.S. Debut with Package for Mercedes-Benz GL
Suite of Features Includes Styling, Performance Upgrades
It seems there's no shortage of European-based "tuner" companies that offer styling packages for luxury cars. Many are well-established and have been in the U.S. market for decades. Lorinser and Brabus come to mind for Mercedes-Benz. But if the tried-and-true tuners just aren't edgy or exclusive enough for you, there's now another choice out there if you're the owner of a Mercedes-Benz GL. Moscow-based Larte Design is making its U.S. debut by offering its “Black Crystal” package on Mercedes' three-row fullsize SUV.
The full Black Crystal package includes a body kit, 22x11 forged alloy wheels, an imposing full-height grille featuring the Larte logo, LED driving lights, and a rear "Formula One" style central-mounted lower brake light. For performance upgrades, the Black Crystal GL gets a Remus four-outlet exhaust system and Wetterauer chip tune for a claimed output of 290 hp and 508 lb-ft of torque out of the GL350 Bluetec's 3.0L turbodiesel V-6.
If the GL isn't your exact cup of tea, Larte Design also offers styling and performance packages for the Infiniti QX60, QX70 and QX80, as well as the Range Rover Evoque. Larte Design is currently seeking a U.S. distributor, but its components can be purchased directly by inquiring through its website, www.larte-design.com.
