Next-Gen Kia Sorento Previewed in Teaser Sketch, Debuts Next Month
Kia has announced that the third-generation Sorento crossover will be unveiled in Korea next month. Though the Kia Sorento just received an extensive refresh for the 2014 model year, the Korean automaker says the next model will be "all-new" and feature "bold, swept-back exterior styling." That styling is previewed in these recently released teaser sketches.
We can see from the drawings that the new crossover will sport a lower roofline and higher beltline. Kia also notes that the Sorento will receive more rounded shoulders in the rear and a more upright "tiger nose" grille in the front. We've spied a prototype of the next-gen Sorento out testing before, but the camo was so heavy that the changes were hard to discern.
The Sorento was styled jointly by Kia's design studios in Korea, Germany, and the U.S. The next-gen crossover will make its debut in Korea at the end of August, and is set to debut for Europe on October 2 at the Paris Motor Show.
