GM Reveals 2015 Chevrolet Colorado And GMC Canyon V-6 Fuel Economy
Is This The Most Fuel-Efficient V-6 Midsize Truck Ever?
The hotly anticipated 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon midsize trucks are almost here. Both trucks will be come to market equipped with either a 200hp and 191–lb-ft of torque 2.5L I-4 (backed by either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic) or a 300hp and 269–lb-ft of torque 3.6L V-6 with a six-speed automatic. While we are still waiting for numbers for the I-4 model, GM just announced the Colorado and Canyon’s fuel economy numbers for V-6 models.
As you can see from our chart, the Colorado and Canyon will be the most powerful and most fuel-efficient midsize trucks when they hit dealerships this fall. While we don’t have four-cylinder fuel economy numbers yet, we expect those numbers to make the Colorado and Canyon close to, if not the, most fuel efficient pickup truck on the market. This position will certainly improve even more next year when the 2.8L Duramax turbodiesel model is introduced.
|EPA Fuel Economy Numbers|
