Updating the 1974 Chevrolet C10 Muscle Truck on Hot Rod Garage

Jason Udy
Sep 10, 2014
After modifying or rather hacking up the 1974 Chevrolet C10 Muscle Truck to take to the sand dunes on Roadkill, Mike Finnegan and David Freiburger are ready to return it to its street truck glory. On this episode of Hot Rod Garage, Finnegan and Freiburger repair the Muscle Truck with new cosmetic pieces.
First, the guys remove the bed and its particle board floor with new oak slats. The new wood floor had to be modified to fit around the step notch in the frame around the rear differential. A sheet metal cover was also fabricated to fit over the frame.
Next, a set of aftermarket front fenders replace the stock fenders that were cut up to fit a set of off-road tires. In order to reach some of the hardware to remove the front fenders, much of the front end must be removed including the hood.
Check out the video below to see Finnegan and Freiburger and the Hot Rod Garage crew update the Muscle Truck with new bed pieces and front fenders.
