Fabtech Previews 2015 Ford F-150 Project Dark Ops
Military-Themed Truck Poised to Strike at SEMA
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out the truck of the moment is the all-new 2015 Ford F-150. We’ve driven it and have been very impressed by its performance, technology, and sophistication. Naturally, the aftermarket is eager to get its hands on Dearborn’s latest creation, and this year’s SEMA show promises to be full of customized F-150s. One in particular we’re eager to get up-close with is Fabtech’s “Project Dark Ops” F-150, showcasing the company’s new 6-inch lift kit and adjustable Dirt Logic shocks, giving the truck a significant 10 inches of front wheel travel and 12 inches of travel in the rear.
The truck rolls on Nitto 37-inch tires and 20-inch Fuel/OMF beadlock wheels. Adding to the stealthy military theme are a black camo gloss/matte graphics treatment and a custom exhaust tip inspired by an AR15 rifle. The unique front brush guard took 70 hours to machine, according to Fabtech. We got the exclusive on some of the behind-the-scenes buildup photos of Project Dark Ops for you to see the buildup of this awesome truck. Be sure to check back during the first week of November for more photos of Project Dark Ops and other custom trucks at SEMA!
