2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Midnight Edition Announced
Monochrome Package for Z71 Goes Dark
Yesterday, GMC announced the Sierra Elevation Edition, which brought sportier styling and tech connectivity to the fullsize truck. Today, the bowtie brand is announcing the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 Midnight Edition at the NADA dealer’s convention in San Francisco. The package brings some street swagger to the off-road package in the form of a completely blacked-out exterior color scheme, even down to the front and rear bowtie badges.
In addition to the brooding color, the Midnight package includes a factory-sprayed bedliner and 18-inch black-painted alloy wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac all-terrain tires. Like all Z71 models, the Midnight includes an off-road-tuned suspension, locking rear differential, hill descent control, and a trailering package, as well as rear park assist and heated power exterior rearview mirrors.
The package will be available on 1500 double cab or crew cab models and will be available for dealers to order starting in February. However, if you want one of these mean-looking Silverados, don’t wait too long. Only 5,000 are planned for production for the 2015 model year. The Midnight package will go for between $1,595 and $1,995, depending on specific configuration.
