2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport Starts at $37,995
Top Trim HSE Lux Model Tops $46,000
Last August, we reported the starting price for the new 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport as $38,920. Turns out we were a tad on the high side, with the official MSRP coming in at $37,995, an amount that includes $925 in destination fees. That strikes us as a not altogether unreasonable amount for what promises to be a well-equipped compact SUV, but the starting price is just the beginning. Should you want a higher level of opulence, the Discovery Sport HSE starts at $42,495, including destination, and the top-line Discovery Sport HSE LUX rings the register to the tune of $46,495.
All 2015 Discovery Sport models come standard with all-wheel drive and an 8-inch touchscreen display with navigation. The Discovery Sport’s navigation system also offers some unique off-road features including a breadcrumbs back-tracking feature, point-to-point off-road navigation, and lateral and longitudinal coordinates to identify vehicle location apart from road markers. Optional features include part assist, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, and autonomous emergency braking. U.S.-spec Discovery Sport models are powered exclusively by a 2.0L I-4 gasoline turbo engine making 240 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque mated to a ZF 9HP48 nine-speed automatic transmission.
