2015 Chevrolet Colorado Shows GearOn Cargo Management System

Modular Rack and Mount System Built for Work and Play

Feb 10, 2015
The 2015 Chevrolet Colorado is certainly off to a brisk start, with sales essentially neck and neck with the Nissan Frontier and dealers reporting strong interest. To keep the momentum going for its new midsize truck, Chevrolet is introducing the Colorado GearOn special-edition model, which debuted at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. The GearOn system is a modular cargo management system designed to accommodate a variety of different loads, with pieces to allow the carrying of a ladder on the roof, mountain bikes in the bed with additional storage beneath for sleeping bags and tents, or racks to hold skis and snowboards.
The special-edition package will be offered on LT-trim models in extended or crew cab configurations with the long or short bed, in 2WD or 4WD models. The package includes cross-bars, cargo dividers, and cargo tie-down rings. Additional accessories can be purchased separately by the customer to meet their specific needs. Additional equipment included in the GearOn package is a body-color grille, gloss-black 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear black bowtie emblems, a rear window defogger, and remote start. The trim starts at $31,250, including $875 destination, and will be available this spring. The GearOn system will also be available as a dealer-installed accessory for all Colorado models.
