Land Rover Teases 2016 Range Rover Evoque Before Geneva
Full-LED Adaptive Headlamps Highlight Updates
For much of the first decade of the new millennium, luxury in the SUV segment was often defined by size, with models such as the Cadillac Escalade and the original Range Rover. However, the vehicle over the past few years that has done the best job of defining pint-sized posh is undoubtedly the Range Rover Evoque. Roughly the same size as a Ford Escape or Honda CR-V, the Evoque proved that you could pack plenty of style and luxury into a compact package. And just look at all the rivals that soon followed, including the Lexus NX and Lincoln MKC. Now, the originator of the luxury cute-ute genre is about to get its biggest overhaul to date, with the 2016 Range Rover Evoque is about to be revealed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
Land Rover released this teaser photo showing the LED running lights of the refreshed Evoque, as well as touting the optional full-LED adaptive headlights that will be offered on the 2016 model. In addition to the lighting upgrade, Land Rover promises a new engine lineup, likely marking the debut of Jaguar Land Rover’s “Ingenium” family of I-4 engines in the Evoque lineup. Land Rover promises more details on the 2016 Evoque will be released later this week.
