2015 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Wins Four Wheeler’s Pickup Truck of the Year
Ram’s Off-Road Hero Wins Award for Fourth Time
Since its modern-day introduction as a 2005 model, the Ram 2500 Power Wagon has solidly established its reputation for being a solid, capable, no-nonsense fullsize off-road truck. Faster, flashier trucks have since emerged (most notably the Ford F-150 Raptor), but the Power Wagon remains the definitive standard bearer for fullsize capability. The editors of Four Wheeler magazine recognized that fact for the fourth time with the 2015 Ram 2500 Power Wagon winning its 2015 Pickup Truck of the Year award. This year’s award represents the fourth time since the model’s modern-day debut that it has won the award.
And the Power Wagon’s win wasn’t just a squeaker but decisive, with Editor Christian Hazel commenting that the Power Wagon “blew the competition away.” As it has since 2005, the 2015 Power Wagon features Articulink technology that disconnects the sway bar links at low speed to increase maximum axle articulation. The Power Wagon also features standard 33-inch tires, a Warn 12,000-pound front winch, and front and rear locking axles. The Power Wagon is now offered in three distinct trim levels -- Tradesman, SLT, and Laramie -- to meet the needs and tastes of a variety of buyers.
