SPIED: 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty

New Photos Show Body-Hugging Psych Wrap, Close Look at Details

Mar 10, 2015
Thanks to the omnipresence of spy photographers in the world, we’ve been given a fantastic look at the upcoming Ford F-Series Super Duty, which will likely arrive next year as a 2017 model. The test truck eschews lots of the bulky plastic camo of its predecessors, instead sporting a psychedelic wrap that shows many of the truck’s aluminum-stamped contours. Additionally, the photos show that the Super Duty will adopt a good deal of the styling features included on the new-for-2015 F-150.
Foremost, this truck is big. In fact, its overall stance and stature remind some of us of the "OBS" Ford F-250 and F-350 from the mid-1990s. We’ll still have to wait awhile to get a detailed rundown of the Super Duty, but these new photos give us the closest look yet at the successor to the truck that’s dominated the 3/4- and 1-ton segment for years.
For more detailed information on the 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty, head on over to the article published by our sister site Truck Trend. There, you'll find a breakdown of the truck's styling, along with a gallery of more than two dozen photos, as well as some speculation about what mechanicals are sitting under the truck's big, butch new body.
