Video: Country Star Toby Keith Talks About His 2015 Ford F-150
Remote Tailgate, 360 Camera Favorite Features
There are few things as quintessentially American as fullsize trucks and country music, so who better to be a spokesperson for Ford Trucks than Toby Keith? Although it may be tempting to dismiss Keith’s loyal endorsement of Ford as being a paid shill, Keith’s relationship with Ford goes back more than a decade, with Keith even being featured in some of national advertising campaigns for the F-Series.
In this video, Keith talks about his new truck, a 2015 F-150 FX-4, and some of its features. His favorites are the remote-opening tailgate and the 360-degree surround-view camera. An avid outdoorsman, Keith says he wouldn’t drive anything but a truck. “I just have to have a truck. I can’t have a car. A car doesn’t fit my lifestyle.”
Although Keith may come across as a down-home country boy from Oklahoma, he has quite the business empire aside from his country music career, including a stake in his own record label, his own line of mezcal, and a chain of restaurants. Although he got a late start in the world of country music at age 32, the now 53-year-old Keith has more than made up for lost time, being recently dubbed the “$500 Million Man of Country Music” by Forbes magazine.
