Hot Rod PowerFest West Registration Opens
Trucks, Muscle Cars, and Classics Converge on Las Vegas in September
The first-ever Hot Rod PowerFest event is coming to the Rio Las Vegas hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, September 26-27. PowerFest West will include a Burnout Contest, Dyno Challenge, Show ‘n’ Shine judging, and other events, giving contestants the chance to bring home honors for their rides, and giveaways and prizes will be up for the taking as well. Hot Rod editorial staff members will also be on hand taking photos and searching for Editors’ Choice award contestants from a pool of classic and muscle cars and trucks.
Pre-registration for the two-day event is open for $99 until September 17, which gives a driver and co-driver access to the weekend-long festivities, including performances by Grammy-nominated blues rock songwriter Kenny Wayne Shepherd. After the pre-order period, the onsite registration fee will be $125. Spectator tickets are also available.
If you’ve got a classic truck or utility vehicle and you’re in the American west, it’d behoove you to come partake in the festivities and make your pride and joy a part of Hot Rod history. For those who are locationally challenged, this first-ever event will be followed by Hot Rod PowerFest East, in Darlington, South Carolina, in October, giving more people a chance to enjoy the event.
It promises to be a good time. Classics, Las Vegas sunshine, prizes, and good music go together perfectly. We’ll be on hand to bring you highlights of the show, but what better way to enjoy it than in person?
