Video: Nissan Shows Hardcore Fans New 2016 Titan
Owners Cite Uniqueness, American Made as Favorite Attributes
Leading up to the official debut of the 2016 Nissan Titan XD this fall, the company has released a series of videos documenting the development of the new fullsize truck, from the initial R&D stages to showing the new truck off to groups of consumers and potential buyers at events across the country. In the seventh video in the series, entitled “Truck Love,” current Titan owners are interviewed and asked what they like best about their trucks. Many of them said they were drawn to the Titan because of its uniqueness and relative rarity compared to the domestic fullsize models. Others said they loved the Titan’s unique throaty exhaust sound, and many said they appreciated that it was built in the U.S.A.
At both a Titan owner’s club event in Texas, as well as a public exhibition in Anaheim, California, Nissan showed the 2016 Titan to current and potential owners to gauge their feedback. Most gave it favorable reviews, citing the “beefed up” styling and the availability of the Cummins turbodiesel V-8 engine. Several potential owners said the Titan XD would hit the sweet spot in terms of the type of truck they’re looking for, with higher capacities and capabilities than a typical 1/2-ton but at a lower cost than an HD truck.
