Complete Customs Builds GMC in Tribute of American Sniper Chris Kyle
Custom Yukon XL Will Raise Funds for Chris Kyle Frog Foundation
Complete Customs, the McKinney, Texas–based truck builders, jumped at the opportunity to build a tribute vehicle to honor Chris Kyle, the Navy SEAL known as the most lethal sniper in American history. Kyle, who died in 2013, devoted his post-military life to helping veterans and servicemen lead healthy, productive lives, and the Complete Customs GMC Yukon XL will help further that goal by raising awareness for the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, an organization that brings first responders and members of the military closer to their families through meaningful, interactive experiences.
The 2015 Yukon XL got a huge spate of upgrades for the tribute, including 35-inch Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ tires wrapped around 20-inch Dropstars wheels, a set of Rigid Industries LED fog and off-road lamps, a custom mesh grille with logos inspired by those of the Frog Foundation, and a bespoke color palette. The Gunmetal Matte Metallic vehicle wrap, supplied by Avery Dennison, coordinates well with the fully customized interior, which features tan leather seating, a green sueded headliner with custom embroidery, and an entertainment enclosure in the cargo area. A replica of one of Kyle’s firearms is on display in the enclosure.
The Chris Kyle Yukon will be used at shows and events to raise awareness and money for the Frog Foundation, which was founded in 2014 by the American Sniper’s widow Taya. The Yukon will make public appearances through the rest of the year and into 2016 before being auctioned off to benefit the foundation.
Additionally, Complete Customs plans on building a Jeep Wrangler in collaboration with Taya Kyle. She will unveil the Chris Kyle “The Legend” Wrangler Custom Package (which will be publicly available) at the 2015 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in November.
