Ram Truck Test Drive Experience, Raminator Monster Truck to Enhance Michigan State Fair
Attraction Gives Guests Chance To Experience Ram’s Capabilities
Michigan State Fair attendees will have the chance to ride in a Ram pickup over a series of obstacles, as well as examine the Raminator monster truck up close, at the Ram Truck Test Drive Experience. The attraction will be open every day of the fair at 10 a.m.
“Ram is proud to be a part of this year’s Michigan State Fair, a longstanding tradition that celebrates the importance of farmers and farming communities to our state,” said Jeff Hines, director of the Great Lakes Business Center – FCA US LLC.
The Ram Truck Test Drive Experience will include obstacles that “highlight the…capabilities” of the Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup. A 30-degree incline will show the truck’s hillclimbing abilities, while a side incline of the same amount should emphasize its stability (although dangerous side inclines should be avoided at all costs in real-world situations). Offset bumps will demonstrate the Ram’s articulation, and a timber trail will highlight its ground clearance.
Attendees will also be able to check out the record-breaking Raminator monster truck, which broke the Guinness World Record last year for the Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck. In December 2014, driver Mark Hall hit 99.1 mph in the Raminator. The Monster Truck Racing Association has named the Raminator the Truck of the Year a record seven times.
The Michigan State Fair takes place in Novi, Michigan, on Labor Day weekend from September 4 to September 7. It’s sponsored by the Fifth Third Bank.
