Nissan Planning Three Titan XD Show Trucks for SEMA 2015
Accessories Showcase, Project TITAN, SEMA Build in the Cards
Nissan will be bringing three specially outfitted 2016 Titan XD pickups to the 2015 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in November, showing the world a bit more what its newest truck is capable of.
At Nissan’s booth will be two Titan XDs, one of which will be a rolling showcase for Genuine Nissan Official Accessories. The 50-piece accessory lineup is new for the Titan XD, so this truck will be the first look we’ll get at what Nissan will offer in terms of dealer customization.
Hooked up to that vehicle’s gooseneck hitch will be the Cummins Project TITAN XD, which Nissan will reveal in full on November 3. In the past, Project TITAN resulted in a really cool adventure vehicle, so we have high hopes for the Cummins undertaking.
The third Titan XD on display will be a collaboration with SEMA. Based on the PRO-4X trim level, this truck underwent extensive measuring back in April and delivered to SEMA headquarters in September. Since then, SEMA and its members have been modifying the truck, and we want to see what they’re cooking up.
The 2016 Titan XD is mere months away from going on sale, so it’s fair of Nissan to try and drum up as much interest in the pickup (and its features and available accessories) as possible. It’ll be fun to see what Nissan, Cummins, and SEMA have come up with.
