Ohio Farm Turns Corn Maze into Ford F-150
Leaders Farms Commemorates Love of Blue Oval with Tourist Attraction
One of Ohio’s largest tourist attractions really loves the new Ford F-150. Brad and Kristin Leaders, of Leaders Farms, decided to commemorate their appreciation for the truck by turning its likeness into their 7-acre “maize.” The family farm, which has been in operation in Napoleon, Ohio, since 1968, will use the corn maze as its “agritainment” centerpiece, attracting tourists and guests to enjoy the farm’s other attractions.
In a YouTube video about the corn maze, Kristin said her husband got the idea when he was flipping through a magazine. Pausing on an advertisement for the truck, he decided he would recreate it for the maze. After getting the O.K., Kristin and Brad turned their 1,120 bushels of corn into a Ford F-150, including the “Built Ford Tough” slogan across the bottom of the maze.
Other attractions at the farm include a cornbox, a zip line, a barnyard bouncer, and a “cow train,” a tractor-towed barrel train. Leaders Farms also features Screamacres, the haunted cornfield that runs during the Halloween season.
Leaders is apparently a Ford family. Kristin drives an Explorer, while Brad rocks an F-150. Kristin even learned to drive in a Ford, her grandfather’s Model A. We should all be so fortunate…
