Transamerican Auto Parts Announces “Life Is Better Off-Road” SEMA Judges
4 Wheel Parts’ Parent Company to Recognize Top Jeeps, Trucks at Show
Transamerican Auto Parts, the parent company of 4 Wheel Parts, has announced the panel of judges for its 2015 “Life is Better Off-Road” builder award for the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The judges were selected as a representative of a cross-section of the off-road enthusiast industry from motorsports, media, vehicle fabrication, and design. The host for this year’s award presentation will be Rutledge Wood from the History Channel’s Top Gear USA.
Competitive rockcrawler Shannon Campbell will represent the off-road competition and fabrication community, along with Casey Curry of Curry Enterprises, off-road racer Brian Deegan, and Trophy Truck legends Rick and Jeff Geiser. Representing the off-road media are Sean P. Holman, content director for the Truck Trend Network, and Craig Perrone, editor and publisher of 4 Wheel Parts’ Off-Road Adventures magazine.
The judges will be selecting 10 semi-finalists on the basis of off-road reliability and capability, real-world functionality, quality of craftsmanship, and overall vehicle presentation. From that group, one Jeep and one truck/SUV will be chosen as the two finalists to vie for the title of “Most Authentic Off-Road Capable” vehicle at the SEMA Show. The winner will be awarded a trophy by Transamerican Auto Parts President and CEO Greg Adler at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, at the ProComp/Transamerican Auto Parts booth, which is located outdoors in the Silver Lot near the SEMA SCORE Baja 1000 Experience.
The finalists and winning vehicle will be features in Off-Road Adventures magazine and will be featured across Transamerican social media and event venues. The contest is still open to submissions. Vehicles are required to be registered for the 2015 SEMA Show, on display, and accessible to judges. Full contest details and criteria are available at transamericanautoparts.com/award.
